Music

Hi! I'm Rina again, today I'm going to talk about the essential is music for me. First, I do everything listening to music for example while study I listen reggaeton, bachata, pop, indie. It depends on my mood because if I'm happy I usually listen Bad Bunny because he makes me feel good like I can do anything. When I clean my house, I usually listen to romantic music like Chayanne, Romeo Santos, among others. And when I do that, I feel like an old woman who lost a love and the all suffering use it to clean. Other example is when the day is cloudy and I go on public transport I usually listen to music in English such as The Smiths, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jorja Smith, Dua Lipa and whatever makes me feel like the protagonist of a movie.

In conclusion the music always accompanies me because for me is a way of feeling life, each melody is linked to a feeling, mood, experience, company, situation, place... it is simply essential.

My favourite piece of technology

Hi, personally I have always been related to technology, since I was little in my house, they used to ask me for help with cell phones, television, etc. From what I learned through experience and curiosity about these objects. I think that the computer and the cell phone have been with me forever, but without a doubt the one that consumed me the most in my school days was the computer, since I used to play many games such as League of Legends, Minecraft, The sims, among others. Currently in my first year of architecture I did not use the computer much, but rather I could do all the things from the cell phone because what I had to do more was organize with my classmates and make models, but in this year I have had to use the computer as never in my life, as online classes warrant. I hope I am not more blind than I was before and at some point, give my eyes a rest.

Why did you choose your career?

Hi today I’m going to talk about why I did choose study architecture. First of all I have always liked mathematics a lot and that's why I thought I would like to study engineering, but one day after finishing some classes I found a ex classmate and she ask me if I was studying architecture because when I was little I used to be a fan of legos and of drawing houses. All this made me question my decision to study engineering and as soon as I got home I looked for information and decided to study architecture. The next year, I entered to Universidad de Chile where I met many wonderful people who have become my friends and thanks to them the stady at the university become much more friendly and less complicated.

My autobiography

My name is Rina Montenegro. I was born on September 13, 1999 in Santiago de Chile. I am 20 years old. I live with my family that is made up of my mom and two little sisters. I played basketball in my school and in a gym in my commune, but I got injured and stopped playing because I was lazy. I also went to Math competitions at my school, which I attended throughout my schooling. When I started to study Civil Industrial Engineering at USACH I realized that it was not my thing and I changed to Architecture at Universidad de Chile.  Before the pandemic I used to do photo sessions to people and do stand up comedy in bars in Santiago . I currently podcast on  Spotify and suffer with online classes hoping that all this happens and that we have all learned something to build a better society.
